Salient points of the Speech given by Hon'ble BJP National President and Union Minister Shri JP Nadda while addressing Public rally in Shakur Basti, Delhi

Bharatiya Janata Party National President and union minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a public meeting in Uttam Nagar in New Delhi on Thursday.  During the event, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal, MP Shri Damodar Agarwal, Assembly candidate Shri  Karnail Singh, BJP District President Shri Virendra Goyal among others were present.

Shri Nadda sharply criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government and Arvind Kejriwal for the widespread corruption in Delhi, emphasizing that the individual who entered politics promising to combat corruption has now set unprecedented records of it. He appealed to the public to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections on February 5th, to ensure freedom from the corrupt Aam Aadmi Party (‘AAP-da’) and ongoing progress for the state. Salient points of the speech given by Shri Nadda:-

·      In the past 10 years, the party that came to power claiming to fight against corruption, AAP-da has deceived the common people by betraying them and setting new records in corruption. On February 5th, the people of Delhi will have the opportunity to take their revenge.

·      The Aam Aadmi Party used to boast about their education system, claiming it was being celebrated worldwide. In reality, they were using education as a facade while engaging in one scam after another. The same Chief Minister, who championed education, is now in jail for his involvement in a ₹2800 crore liquor scam.

·      The Aam Aadmi Party promised free water, but in reality, there is no water or it comes from drains. Additionally, the Delhi Jal Board was involved in a ₹28,000 crore scam.

·      ‘AAP-da’ leaders heavily promoted the Mohalla Clinics, but inside those clinics, fake tests were conducted, resulting in a ₹65,000 crore scam. Additionally, they were involved in a ₹300 crore fake medicine scam.

·      The ‘AAP-da’ government was involved in a ₹1,300 crore scam in the construction of classrooms. Additionally, AAP committed a ₹500 crore scam in the installation of panic buttons over the past five years.

·      AAP was involved in a ₹5,400 crore scam related to ration cards and a ₹4,500 crore scam in the purchase of buses in Delhi. While Aam Aadmi Party leaders had promised to install CCTV cameras in every lane, none have been installed so far. Instead, ₹571 crore was embezzled from the CCTV project.

·      AAP leaders, who portray themselves as supporters of the Muslim community, did not spare the Waqf Board either, embezzling ₹100 crore from it.

·      If there were a competition for the most dishonest leaders, both globally and nationally, and a prize was to be awarded, Arvind Kejriwal would undoubtedly win the top prize. He tells lies so convincingly, with such a sense of innocence.

·      Arvind Kejriwal shows no shame; he has come out of jail. He hasn't received a pardon, he's out on bail. Legal proceedings are still ongoing against him. The people who claimed to fight against corruption turned out to be deeply corrupt themselves, with a Chief Minister, Deputy CM, Minister, and three MLAs who have been jailed, and three of them remain in jail.

·      Arvind Kejriwal claimed to bring in “staunchly honest” leaders, but instead, he brought in leaders who were the complete opposite. AAP leader and Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan was jailed under the stringent MCOCA, and AAP Minister and Shakur Basti MLA Satyender Jain spent a long time in prison. It appears there’s a competition for jail time within AAP.

·      AAP has spared neither the youth, nor the elderly, nor the hardworking people, shopkeepers, or the poor. There is no one whom the Aam Aadmi Party has not hurt. That’s why it’s time to free the people of Delhi from such a government.

·      The Aam Aadmi Party government has left heaps of garbage in the streets of Delhi. The state of the roads is so bad that it's hard to tell if there’s a pothole in the road or if the road itself is just a pothole.

·      While the AAP-da party and Arvind Kejriwal exploited and weakened Delhi, disregarding its rights, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has consistently worked for the progress and welfare of Delhi.

·      Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has provided 300 electric buses to Delhi, and by December 2025, an additional 2,026 electric buses will be added. Delhi's metro network has expanded from 190 km to 400 km, with 135 new stations built. Major routes such as Janakpuri to Krishna Park and the Rithala-Narela-Kundli corridor have seen significant development.

·      Additionally, under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail project has been launched. This 82 km long, ₹30,000 crore initiative will connect Delhi and Meerut, further enhancing connectivity and infrastructure. The ₹8,000 crore Delhi-Meerut Expressway will transform travel, cutting commute time to just 45 minutes.

·      The Urban Extension Road connecting Alipur to Mahipalpur has been built at a cost of ₹3,600 crore. The Dwarka Expressway, linking Dwarka to Khirki Daula, has been allocated ₹7,500 crore. ₹920 crore have been invested in transforming Pragati Maidan into an integrated transit corridor. Additionally, the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, a 135 km road connecting Kundli border, Ghaziabad, and Palwal, has been constructed at a cost of ₹11,000 crore.

·      Under the leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, 25 crore people in the country have moved above the poverty line. 80 crore people are receiving 5 kg of free grains under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana, including 72 lakh beneficiaries in Delhi. However, Kejriwal has prevented 90,000 people's ration cards from being issued and kept the applications of 10 lakh people pending.

·      While Arvind Kejriwal is building his Sheesh Mahal at a cost of ₹52 crore, on the other hand, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has provided homes to 4 crore people across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Additionally 6,500 flats have been constructed and dedicated to the slum dwellers.

·      In Delhi, 15,000 cases of diarrhea were reported in 2022-23 and 20,000 cases in 2023-24, caused by the contaminated water provided by Kejriwal.

·      For the past 10 years, the BJP has been wanting to implement the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana for the people of Delhi, which would benefit nearly 51 lakh people. However, Kejriwal has become an obstacle between the people of Delhi and this scheme.

·      Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, 13,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been established across the country, with 500 of them in Delhi. These centers provide affordable medicines to the public.

·      When the BJP forms the government in Delhi, women will be provided ₹2,500 per month under the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, gas cylinders will be provided for ₹500, and one cylinder will be given free of cost by the government during Holi and Diwali.

·      Additionally, every senior citizen above 70 years of age in Delhi will receive ₹5 lakh of free health insurance. People aged between 60 to 70 years will receive a monthly pension of ₹2,500, and those above 70 will receive ₹3,000. Full meals will be provided for ₹5 through Atal Canteens in slums.

·      Under the BJP government, free education from KG to PG will be provided, along with ₹15,000 for students preparing for competitive exams and ₹1,000 per month as a stipend for polytechnic students.

·      BJP National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda appealed to the people to ensure the victory of the BJP candidate and to replace the Aam Aadmi Party's “AAP-da” with a BJP government in Delhi.
