Bhartiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Friday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia strongly criticized Arvind Kejriwal for his double standards and for misusing the public's hard-earned money, highlighting his lavish lifestyle with luxury features in the ‘Sheesh Mahal’. He also targeted Rahul Gandhi for mocking the Constitution and disrespecting its principles by distributing blank pages in the name of the very Constitution he pretends to uphold.

 

Shri Bhatia stated that during this election time, the BJP is focusing on development, empowering the common people, connecting them to the mainstream, and using the country's resources for the benefit of the public. To undermine this unifying vision, all the corrupt and divisive leaders have united on the other side.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that whether it is Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, or the allies of the INDI Alliance, they all despise the common people and are attempting to break the unity of the nation while disrespecting the Constitution. Kejriwal, who is out on bail, continues to deceive the people of Delhi.

 

Shri Bhatia mentioned that while Kejriwal made arrangements for the poor living in Delhi's slums to reside in spaces of 12, 18, and 25 square yards, he himself lived in the ‘Sheesh Mahal’. Arvind Kejriwal, who repeatedly claimed he did not want a big bungalow, resided in a 21,000 sq. ft. ‘Sheesh Mahal’ built with corrupt earnings. Journalists and the general public were not allowed inside. What was it that was being hidden?

 

National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that the Sheesh Mahal hides many secrets that Arvind Kejriwal never wanted to be revealed. It would not be wrong to say that Kejriwal is such a big "Thaggumal" that he continues to deceive the people of Delhi. Kejriwal has turned the CM residence into a place of indulgence and luxury. When the PWD conducted a legal inspection of the inventory, they found 8 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 12 toilets, 3 meeting rooms, 24 sofa sets, 76 tables, and 45 chairs. Kejriwal seems to have forgotten his own words, and it's high time he is shown the truth. Arvind Kejriwal had once tweeted on October 27, 2013, now deleted, criticizing Sheila Dixit, saying that ‘Delhi’s CM Sheila Dixit’s house had 10 air conditioners, and even her bathroom had an AC, with the public footing the bill. It is shocking to think that while 40% of Delhi's population lives in slums, the CM is living in such luxury.’

 

Shri Bhatia stated that corrupt Kejriwal has installed 50 indoor air conditioners in his ‘Sheesh Mahal’, along with a 250-ton capacity central AC plant. While Kejriwal previously accused Sheila Dixit of corruption for having 10 air conditioners, he himself uses 300 air conditioners for his own luxury. What should this be called? What kind of VIP culture is this? Additionally, there is an 88-inch TV, and the public has every right to know the cost of this TV—it is priced at ₹28,91,587. Kejriwal even orders samosas worth crores—this is the extent of his "Kattar Beimani." He sarcastically remarked, “What does Arvind Kejriwal, with his 26-inch chest and 46-inch shirt, watch on an 88-inch TV? Journalists, who are the fourth pillar of democracy, are not even allowed inside the 'Sheesh Mahal'.”

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that the members of the INDI Alliance have a fondness for the Mughals and seek palatial grandeur. Kejriwal’s Sheesh Mahal boasts 12 chandeliers. Kejriwal’s corruption has turned into a Mughal-style mansion. It would not be wrong to say, "Aag Laga Di Dilli Mein, Hamare Bhrashtachri Ghar Ke Chirag Arvind Kejriwal Ne."

 

Shri Bhatia stated that Kejriwal has become so arrogant because he believes no one can bring him down. The ideology that Arvind Kejriwal once rode to power has now been completely discarded by him. Today, Kejriwal himself is the biggest symbol of VVIP culture. The people of Delhi will bury him so deep that there will be no trace left, neither of Kejriwal nor of the ₹12 crore toilet seats. Arvind is the most corrupt politician India has ever seen and it would not be wrong to say that he has double standards and must be exposed.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that everyone knows that those who talk about the Constitution are now far removed from its true essence. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, who took an oath of the Constitution, carries blank pages in the name of the very Constitution of India. Did Dr. BR Ambedkar only give India a constitution with a cover? Shouldn’t opposition leaders be reading and understanding the Constitution? It is unfortunate that they may have a head, but when opened, there is no wisdom inside. Rahul Gandhi’s "Lal Kitab" has insulted the core values of the Constitution and the dignity of 140 crore Indians.

 

Shri Bhatia stated that the pledge Rahul Gandhi took to destroy the Constitution will be undone by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who has dedicated his life to protecting the Constitution, fostering development, and empowering the people, especially backward classes, SCs, and STs. Under the UPA government, then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's cabinet passed an ordinance, but then a leader undermined the Constitution by tearing up the ordinance passed by Manmohan Singh's cabinet. This reflects the mindset of the "Fake Gandhi." The so-called "Fake Gandhi" appears to favor the Italian Constitution. The Constitution he promotes is hollow because he intends to fill it with Sharia Law to appease his vote bank.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia highlighted that Rahul Gandhi's statement about blank papers symbolizing the imposition of Sharia Law on India is an alarming message, as India is a secular nation. He pointed out that while Article 370 began with the word ‘temporary’, leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi have never addressed it. The removal of Article 370 was a historic mistake corrected by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, who amended the article in line with the Constitution's spirit. Rahul Gandhi, who in India says that they want the empowerment of backward classes, but abroad, he talks about ending reservation. It showcases his double standard. This exposes the Congress party as the biggest predator of the Indian Constitution. The party has a history of imposing President’s Rule over 90 times, declaring Emergency, tearing ordinances, and failing to act on the Women's Reservation Bill. By distributing a book with blank pages, it is an insult to the Constitution, democracy, and the citizens of India. Rahul Gandhi should apologize for this act.
