Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson and MP Dr. Sambit Patra addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi, on Thursday. Dr. Patra cited an article published in the French newspaper 'Mediapart', which revealed a triangle conspiring against India involving American billionaire George Soros, the news portal OCCRP and Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. Dr. Patra stated that George Soros and Rahul Gandhi are "two bodies and one soul," with their anti-India agendas aligning. He emphasized that the Gandhi family is such that if they have to sell out the country or sacrifice its interests for their power, they would not hesitate.
Dr Patra stated that when a parliamentarian is in the party office rather than in Parliament, it showcases the seriousness of the issue. The issue is not of the BJP or any other political party, but it is about the nation’s sovereignty and unity. It has been revealed that some forces want to break the country and disrupt its unity and sovereignty. These forces do not want India to achieve a global status. We all know that on December 2, a French newspaper called ‘Mediapart’ published some revelations and they are severe. The allegations put forth by Mediapart, a well-known French newspaper, are extremely grave.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra highlighted what he referred to as a "dangerous triangle" that, in his view, aims to destabilize India. He identified the three sides of this triangle as follows: one side comprises George Soros, his foundation, and certain other U.S.-based organizations. The second side is the OCCRP (Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project) news portal and the third, which he called the most significant, is Rahul Gandhi, whom he described as a "traitor of the highest order," stating this without fear. Dr. Patra emphasized that for him, the guiding principle is "Nation first, party next, and self last." He also claimed, without hesitation, that the Leader of the Opposition holds anti-national views.
Dr Patra stated that the OCCRP is a global institution started in 2007 and today is linked with 50 media partners on 6 continents. It would not be superlative to say that it is a global media agency, and its publication is read by crores of people, and it also creates a stir in countries. In order to run a big company and investigative journalism, a lot of money and resources would be required. In a dimension revealed by Mediapart, it was stated that the funding of OCCRP has been provided by the Open Society Foundation.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra stated that several organizations in the US, including some government agencies, provide funding to OCCRP. The Open Society Foundation is associated with George Soros, who is a significant funder of OCCRP. A French newspaper, Mediapart, mentioned that it initially believed OCCRP to be an independent agency, as a media organization ideally should be. However, if 70% of its funding comes from a single source, it is natural that the agency cannot remain neutral and would act in the interest of its funder. OCCRP operates to serve the interests of Soros and America's deep state.
Dr. Patra conveyed that this is no trivial matter but a serious business. When an MP and the Leader of the Opposition (Rahul Gandhi) in LokSabha tries to betray the nation, it is undoubtedly a grave concern. On July 1st, 2021, during a challenging period when the world was battling the COVID-19 pandemic, India, under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, had successfully developed two vaccines and launched the “Vaccine Maitri” initiative. One of these vaccines was 'Covaxin.' Several countries had placed orders for Covaxin stocks. However, at this critical juncture, OCCRP published an article alleging that Brazil had cancelled its $324 million order for Covaxin. This was an attempt to tarnish India's global image.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra stated that the vaccine industry is highly lucrative, and India was the only country at the time actively engaging in Vaccine Maitri, even providing vaccines free of charge. India had earned a respected position on the global stage, a reputation that still stands strong. The OCCRP article was deliberately aimed at damaging India's vaccine credibility. The article was published on July 1st, 2021 and on July 2nd, 2021, the Congress Party held a press conference, openly targeting the Indian government and Covaxin. The noteworthy aspect here is that Brazil’s decision not to proceed with the vaccine purchase was already known in June. Yet, Rahul Gandhi chose to address the issue only after OCCRP’s article was released. This clearly indicates that OCCRP dictates and Rahul Gandhi follows it.
Dr. Patra highlighted that OCCRP consistently launched targeted attacks on India’s top industrial houses. Repeatedly, it published reports that portrayed an impression of widespread fraud. The motive behind these actions was to disrupt India’s markets, crash stock values, and weaken the common Indian investors who had invested in these shares. The ultimate objective was to incite public discontent against the government and push for regime change. With this agenda, OCCRP deliberately targeted India’s industrialists. The sequence of events is evident: every time such reports were released, Rahul Gandhi held press conferences, shifting the national discourse from discussions about the Industrial Revolution to talk of deindustrialization.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra mentioned that the Pegasus report surfaced on 18 July 2021, with OCCRP exposing it earlier. On 19 July 2021, Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on Pegasus, basing it on this report. This led to a complete washout of Parliament proceedings. Similar reports, released just before parliamentary sessions, have resulted in adjournments and disruptions. It has created havoc in the country on this topic. However, on 26 August 2022, the Supreme Court addressed the Pegasus topic. In July 2022, when the ED had been questioning Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi under the National Herald case, the OCCRP released an article, that claimed that the legal proceedings against Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case were politically motivated and it created chaos in the country, leading people to come out in favor of the Gandhi family. However, it did not happen. Does the OCCRP think it is the Supreme Court? What do they know about the National Herald case? How could a US-based investigative journalism agency comment on the ₹5,000 crore scam in the National Herald case?
Dr. Patra asked why OCCRP is publishing articles in defense of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi. When OCCRP suffers any loss, Rahul Gandhi gets upset, and when Rahul Gandhi is hurt, OCCRP starts crying. OCCRP and Rahul Gandhi may look different, but their soul is one. If said in the true sense, George Soros and Rahul Gandhi are two faces of the same ideology. 'George Soros and Rahul Gandhi are two bodies, one soul. The agenda of Soros is the same as that of Rahul Gandhi. If George Soros wants harm and misfortune of India, then Rahul Gandhi also wants harm and misfortune of India.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra stated that there is ample evidence indicating that George Soros and Rahul Gandhi share the same ideology. One such piece of evidence is the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which Rahul Gandhi initiated with the hope of winning the Lok Sabha and state elections, like those in Maharashtra and Haryana. However, after the elections, people realized that it was actually a "Bharat Todo Yatra." He added that Salil Shetty, vice president of George Soros's organization, participated in the yatra, demonstrating a shared ideology between Soros and Rahul Gandhi. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi visited Chinese officials in Doklam, an encounter that the Congress initially denied but later admitted after photographs were presented as evidence. Additionally, Dr. Patra highlighted that during Rahul Gandhi's visit to America, he met with Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey, a Bangladeshi journalist connected with OCCRP, who has a history of publishing anti-India articles. It showcased that wherever the country is harmed, Rahul Gandhi is present there. All the anti-Indians love Rahul. ‘Jo bhi Bharat se kare nafrat, woh kare Rahul se pyaar.’ In another piece of evidence, Anand Mangnale, a Congress member and NGO founder, was found to have received funding from China and used it to finance the Delhi riots, passing the money to the infamous Sharjeel Imam. Mangnale is also associated with the OCCRP as a journalist and is considered a close ally of Rahul Gandhi.
Dr. Patra highlighted that all this is not a mere coincidence. Rahul Gandhi also met Ilhan Omar in the US. Rahul Gandhi does not want India to move ahead. Rahul Gandhi did not want the parliament to work and before parliamentary proceedings, raised fake topics created by international agencies. Rahul Gandhi did not want India to create any industrialists. The small share market investors must back away, which is what Rahul Gandhi tried. The Gandhi family is a family that will not back down from selling the country for their position.

Their objective is to derail India’s progress and obstruct its rise as a global leader under the leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Shri K. Laxman stated that when Dr. Trivedi raised the issue in the Rajya Sabha, it was hard to understand why the opposition parties, led by Congress, disrupted the House. They did not want the topic to be discussed. The BJP, on the other hand, was eager for a thorough discussion and investigation into the matter, but the opposition’s disruptions led to the adjournment of the House.
Shri K. Laxman further conveyed that the entire nation wants to know why international agencies continue to bring up fabricated issues and why India’s opposition, particularly Congress, aligns with them, echoing the same narrative, language and emotions. The BJP wants to make the public aware of how the opposition is working to block the progress India is making under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. If the opposition holds anger against Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji or the BJP, they can address it politically. But when it comes to the nation’s development, the BJP will not compromise.
