Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra addressed a press conference at the BHP Delhi State office, on Sunday. Dr. Patra released an audio clip involving Aam Aadmi Party MLA and former cabinet minister Somnath Bharti and an investigating officer. He stated that the AAP MLA, taking advantage of his position, is openly asking the officer to take a bribe and tear the seizure memo to protect one of his associates. Dr. Patra also highlighted a recent statement by Arvind Kejriwal, in which he referred to the country's Home Minister as mad, reflecting Kejriwal's fear of defeat.

Dr. Patra stated that Arvind Kejriwal's desperation is visible amid the Delhi elections. The kind of language he is using is evident to the public. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has rightly called the Aam Aadmi Party 'AAP-da'. This AAP-da's 'Sampada' is corruption—whether it is the liquor policy scam, the biggest corruption case in India, ₹29,000 crore scam in the Delhi Jal Board, DTC bus scam, scam in the name of building smart classrooms in schools, or the corruption in installing CCTV cameras. The synonym for all these scams is the Aam Aadmi Party. Grabbing land and getting properties of innocent people transferred in their name has become a business for the top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party. Arvind Kejriwal himself lives in a 50,000-yard 'Sheesh Mahal,' and his MLAs are not far behind—they are following in his footsteps to build similar palatial residences for themselves. In this context, the black deeds of AAP candidate and MLA Somnath Bharti have been exposed to the world through a sting operation.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra highlighted that a land dispute arose in Jaitpur, leading to an FIR registered on November 10, 2023. The case involved the illegal occupation of a rightful owner's land, and the person responsible for the encroachment was closely associated with AAP MLA Somnath Bharti. In a way, he acted as Bharti's proxy, and Bharti was prepared to shield him. The rightful owner, whose land was seized, also lodged an FIR. All details are documented in the FIR copy, which includes a seizure memo. In the sting operation, it is evident that Somnath Bharti is misusing his MLA privilege by instructing the investigating officer to tear the seizure memo before filing the charge sheet. The investigating officer refuses, stating that the matter is complicated and that the person acting on behalf of Somnath Bharti has submitted fake documents, which are visible. However, Somnath Bharti insists, saying, 'Forget a fee and forget this matter.'

Dr. Patra stated that the issue of an MLA attempting to bribe an investigating officer is extremely serious. Somnath Bharti further demands that the paper should not be presented in the public domain and instructs the officer to bring his person to him. He makes every effort to protect this associate, suggesting that all three of them sit together, discuss, and then tear the document. However, the investigating officer refuses, stating that tearing the document will make him the accused. Somnath Bharti later says that he will admit in writing that he had instructed the tearing of the paper, so that no allegations can be made against the officer. He then adds, 'You can take the fee, and we will end this matter.”

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra stated that AAP MLAs are committing such heinous crimes. BJP will release the video on social media soon, so that everyone can see that 'the dacoit's house was robbed.'Aam Aadmi Party leaders used to say that in cases of bribery or wrongdoing, one should conduct a sting and record a video. Now, their video has been made. This was not a phone conversation—the investigating officer and Somnath Bharti were sitting next to each other and talking when someone recorded the video. So, it is only fitting to say that ‘the dacoit's house was robbed.’ This video clearly exposes how the corrupt Aam Aadmi Party was indulging in corruption in every field.

Dr Patra stated that Arvind Kejriwal was pleading in a desperate voice, saying, 'Do not apply ink, take money, but do not apply ink.' In reality, this fraud thrives on deceit—manipulating votes, engaging in corruption across departments, and resorting to such dishonest tactics himself. Kejriwal is urging the public not to apply ink. But the people will not just apply ink—they will blacken the faces of these scamsters. If any slum dweller watches the entire video of Kejriwal’s 'Sheesh Mahal,' they will never vote for him in any lifetime. Kejriwal, who lives in luxury, pretends to be a slum dweller and falsely claims that if the AAP government is not formed, slums will be removed. The BJP is in power in 20 states, yet there is not a single case where the party has demolished slums. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji understands the struggles of living in a slum. Today, the BJP proudly declares—"Jhuggi Jahan, PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji Wahan". The slum dwellers need not fear because no one can touch their slums—BJP stands firmly with them. Just as our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji proved in yesterday's budget that Maa Lakshmi's blessings are showered on the poor and middle class, similarly, Maa Lakshmi will stand with the slum dwellers as well.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra remarked that Arvind Kejriwal is losing the New Delhi assembly seat, and all these statements stem from his frustration over his impending defeat. Recently, Kejriwal called Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah 'mad.' The use of such words for the Hon’ble Home Minister is highly condemnable and a clear sign of his desperation. The very Home Minister who removed Article 370, eliminated Naxalites from the country, and led surgical strikes is now being called 'mad' by Kejriwal. This statement only reflects his fear of defeat. After playing the audio of the sting operation to the journalists, Dr. Patra clarified that this was not just a phone call recording, but a video in which Somnath Bharti is seen saying, 'Take the bribe, tear the paper, and leave him. You are not logical; work is done by transactions, not logic.' The reality of Arvind Kejriwal is that he talks about compassion but engages in actions that reflect deceit and corruption. This is the true face of Kejriwal. He will have to answer for the misconduct of his former law minister.
