Bharatiya Janata Party MP & former Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur and BJP Delhi State President Shri Virendra Sachdeva addressed a joint press conference at the party’s central office, on Monday. During the conference, they sharply criticized Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi for joining hands with anti-national elements and standing alongside them. Shri Thakur remarked that Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, who engage in “double dating,” along with the “AAP and Hath,” are siding with anti-national forces.
Shri Thakur stated that terrorism is a significant challenge both for the nation and the world, and national security is a crucial issue. The Bharatiya Janata Party has pledged zero tolerance towards terrorism, and the record of the Modi government over the past 11 years stands as proof of this commitment. On the one hand, we are focused on eliminating Naxalism completely, and for the BJP, “Nation First” has always been the guiding principle. However, there are some anti-national parties that collaborate with forces working against the country, receive funding from them for political gains, and then choose to remain silent.
Former Union Minister Shri Thakur questioned why this silence now? Previously, these individuals made loud and bold claims. Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, who engage in “double-dating,” appear one way on the outside but are entirely different on the inside. Whether it's the surgical strike, air strike, or the issue of Afzal Guru's hanging, on all these topics, both Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have shown the same position, with Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal standing together. The Aam Aadmi Party had come into power by speaking against Congress's corruption, but today their brand ‘AAP’ stands for ‘Arajakta’ (anarchy), ‘Algavvad’ (separatism), and ‘Atankwad’ (terrorism). They are known for spreading rumours and offering shelter to criminals. Shri Thakur questioned, “Aisi Koun Si Majburi Hai, In Desh Virodhi Taqaton Se Hath Milana Jaruri Hai?”
Shri Anurag Thakur pointed out that the nation was awaiting the death sentence for Afzal Guru, who had attacked Parliament. However, whose NGOs came forward to seek clemency for him? Whose relatives and parents were involved in this? The people of Delhi demand an answer. Will Atishi and Arvind Kejriwal remain silent or speak up? The “Tukde Tukde Gang,” which raised anti-national slogans and talked about erasing the nation’s identity, has been supported by whom? They must answer for it. Who gave a ticket to the leader of the “Tukde Tukde Gang” in the Delhi elections? It was none other than the “double-dating” Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal. Who stayed in the homes of terrorist sympathizers during the Punjab elections merely to secure victory? Arvind Kejriwal must provide an answer. Furthermore, who was responsible for inciting riots and damaging the country's reputation? Which party's leaders were involved? Now that Tahir Hussain is in jail, can the Aam Aadmi Party distance itself from him?
Former Union Minister Shri Thakur stated that this is the same Aam Aadmi Party and Congress Party that raised questions about the martyrdom of Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, who sacrificed his life during the Batla House encounter. If it had stopped there, it would have been different, but the BJP has put a stop to bomb blasts across the country. However, in Delhi, some people spread rumours about bomb blasts, causing panic among parents, making them fearful, and leading to schools being shut down. New schools may not have opened, but who is behind the connection between these bomb blast rumours and the closure of schools? Will Arvind Kejriwal or Atishi answer? Will Rahul Gandhi remain silent here as well, and no one will ask him any questions? The real question is, who is behind spreading fear and intimidation in Delhi, doing this 400 times? They must answer for this today. Additionally, why did they accept foreign funding from supporters of terrorist ideologies—those who promote terrorism, want to erase the identity of India, and aim to create Khalistan?
Shri Thakur stated that for 11 years, Kejriwal and his party have been running the government in Delhi, but they have never answered a single question. They have only engaged in mudslinging and walked away. Now, the people of Delhi are demanding accountability from Kejriwal, Atishi, and the Aam Aadmi Party. The misdeeds of AAP cannot be concealed any longer. Kejriwal and AAP members are old players in creating chaos and sensationalism. They must answer today whose NGO it is and who is behind it?
Shri Anurag Thakur stated that Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal, who engage in “double dating,” along with the “AAP and Hath,” are siding with anti-national forces. They are also united in their efforts in Chandigarh. Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi must clarify whether they voted for the Aam Aadmi Party or pressed the NOTA button during the Lok Sabha elections in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal should also explain whether he voted for Congress in Chandni Chowk or opted for NOTA.
Shri Sachdeva accused AAP’s sleeper cell of disrupting social harmony and peace in Delhi. AAP must clarify how a juvenile, who sent over 400 hoax emails, gained access to sensitive data? The NGO’s connections are well-known, yet Kejriwal remains silent. Why the emails target only private schools and not government schools in Delhi? He criticized the waste of crores of rupees and the atmosphere of fear being created, affecting thousands of children, their families, and teachers. What Kejriwal stands to gain and what his intentions are behind such actions?
BJP Delhi State President Shri Sachdeva stated that this is not a mere coincidence that before the Delhi Assembly elections last time, Shaheen Bagh protests and the North-East Delhi riots were witnessed. Now, with elections approaching again, a similar conspiracy is emerging to destabilize Delhi. Slogans like “Afzal Hum Sharminda Hai Tere Qatil Zinda Hai” and “Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Inshallah! Inshallah!” are voiced by individuals supported by their NGO. The connection of such an NGO with the hoax calls clearly shows the direction in which the Delhi government and Arvind Kejriwal intend to take Delhi.
Shri Sachdeva remarked that Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi may criticize each other today, but during the JNU incident, both rushed to show their support. This wasn’t an isolated event. In the JNU case, while the CBI advocated to conduct a forensic investigation through certified labs, Kejriwal insisted on having it examined in a lab of his choice. The investigation was later carried out in a Hyderabad lab. It was later revealed that two video clips had been tampered with. These clips, showing Umar Khalid and others shouting slogans, were altered under the direction of the Delhi government. When the Delhi Police sought permission to prosecute Umar Khalid, Kejriwal withheld the file and refused to grant approval. All these matters are on record.
BJP Delhi State President Shri Sachdeva questioned, who is Arvind Kejriwal trying to support? His ideological base seems to be with the illegal Bangladeshis immigrants and Rohingyas. When an attack happens on a Khan, Kejriwal immediately holds a press conference, but when the attacker is caught and found to be Bangladeshi, Kejriwal goes silent. Kejriwal aims to win elections with the support of these Bangladeshi Rohingyas. Anyone who is against the country, who wants to challenge the nation's unity and power, seems to be standing with Kejriwal. The people of Delhi will demand an answer: how long will Kejriwal continue to side with the enemies of the country?
