SALIENT POINTS OF THE SPEECH OF UNION HOME MINISTER AND SENIOR BHARATIYA JANATA PARTY LEADER SHRI AMIT SHAH WHILE ADDRESSING A MASSIVE PUBLIC RALLY IN SORBHOG IN ASSAM

In Assam the assembly elections of two phases have been completed and in these two phases the Bharatiya Janata Party has secured people's mandate to once again form the government in the state. It is now certain that in Assam the Bharatiya Janata Party is once again going to form its majority government.

*******************

Also, I want to give a very good news that in West Bengal Didi is on her way out and that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form its government in West Bengal by winning more than 200 assembly seats.

*******************

Five years back we had said please give Assam in the hands of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and we will free Assam of terrorism and agitations, and we have been able to achieve it.

*******************

After five years of the Bharatiya Janata Party rule we can now proudly say that in Assam there is neither terrorism nor there is agitations and protests, no illegal immigration. Now in Assam there is only peace, all-round development, progress and prosperity.

*******************

The Congress party does politics of 'create fights and grab power'. On the other hand the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership and guidance of Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji follows and works on the ideology of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas'. Following this principle and ideology we have done Assam's development and progress and changed lives of the people of Assam.

*******************

To make Assam free of floods work has been done to find such spots through satellite where water will be diverted and big lakes and ponds will be created. These lakes and ponds will serve for irrigation purpose, tourism and help make Assam free of floods.

*******************

After formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government once again in Assam we will create 2 lakh jobs in government sector and 8 lakh jobs in private sector,  thus a total of 10 lakh jobs will be created in the state.

*******************

We have decided that we will work towards creating Guwahati in Assam as the Start-up Capital of the entire Northeast region and also South East Asia . Assam's 98 townships will be modernised by our government. Our government will also work towards creating all villages in the state as 'model villages'.

*******************

Our Bharatiya Janata Party government will provide free bicycles to girl students studying in class VIII and above and free scooty to girls going to college. The Bharatiya Janata Party government will ensure that every household in Assam get piped water connection before 2022.

*******************

Our Bharatiya Janata Party government is instrumental in providing electricity to homes of 17 lakh families in Assam out of which 1 lakh homes are in Baarpeta district alone. The Congress Government could not electrify these homes during its 70 years of rule, but it was Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji who made this possible in only five years of his governance.

*******************

Those who are talking today about Assam's pride and honour should tell the world how they were helpless during their tenure and could not do anything when infiltrators and poachers used to hunt down rhinoceros the pride of Assam and they could not take any action against the poachers due to their petty votebank politics.

*******************

Had there been the Congress Government in Assam not a single rhinoceros would be alive today. It was Assam Chief Minister Shri Sarbanand Sonowal whose strong governance and strict policy led to complete elimination of poachers of rhinoceros from Assam.

*******************

The Congress party which is trying to align with AIUDF of Badruddin Ajmal will it be able to stop illegal immigration in Assam, and will it will be able to protect Assam and its people?
