Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP Leader and Shri Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Jangpura, Bijwasan and Dwarka, New Delhi on Monday. Shri Shah strongly criticised Arvind Kejriwal for making false promises to the people of Delhi for 10 years and failing to deliver, offering nothing but excuses. He also slammed Manish Sisodia for betraying the people of Patparganj and running to Jangpura with the same deceitful intentions, trying to fool them once again. Shri Shah urged the people of Delhi to remove this deceitful duo of 'Bade Miyan' and 'Chote Miyan' and put an end to their betrayal. During the event, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, Union Minister Shri Harsh Malhotra, MPs Smt. Kamaljit Sehrawat, Shri Vivek Thakur, Shri Satish Gautam, Jangpura candidate Sardar Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Bijwasan candidate Shri Kailash Gehlot, Dwarka candidate Shri Pradyuman Rajput, Palam candidate Shri Kuldeep Solanki, among other prominent leaders were present.
Shri Shah stated that as BJP’s General Secretary, he had lived in Jangpura for more than two years, and whenever he visits the area, it feels like coming home. He urged the people of Jangpura to remove the ‘AAP-da’ from Delhi. Over the past 10 years, Arvind Kejriwal and his party have made countless promises but delivered only corruption, garbage dumps, poisonous water, and appeasement. Arvind Kejriwal has now committed another sin by falsely claiming that BJP has poisoned the Yamuna water from Haryana to trouble the people of Delhi. Kejriwal, who used to call himself the son of Haryana, has now insulted the state. Arvind Kejriwal has done this because he failed to clean the Yamuna water and is now blaming Haryana. With this act, Kejriwal has insulted every Haryanvi, whether they live in Delhi or Haryana. The people of Delhi are well aware of his lie. Not only the people of Bijwasan Vidhan Sabha, but the people of all of Delhi will be provided pure drinking tap water in their homes by the BJP government in the next five years.
Union Home Minister highlighted that on the name of connectivity, roads have been provided in such a way that it's hard to tell whether there are potholes on the roads or roads in the potholes. During the rains, half of Delhi’s roads turn into ponds. Arvind Kejriwal has broken every promise he made. This is why more than 50% of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs had their tickets changed, and many left the party. There is chaos within Arvind Kejriwal's party as leaders have realized that the Aam Aadmi Party’s boat is about to sink. Therefore, in the Delhi Assembly Election results on 8th February, Arvind Kejriwal himself will lose the election. The people of Jangpura must ask Manish Sisodia why his seat was changed from Patparganj. He made false promises to the people of Patparganj and now intends to do the same in Jangpura. However, every citizen of Delhi is aware of his actions. As Deputy Chief Minister, Sisodia focused only on opening liquor shops near gurdwaras, temples, and schools. He is the only education minister in the country to have been jailed in a liquor scam. Instead of working to improve the education sector, he prioritized opening liquor shops on every street in Delhi. The people of Jangpura should not believe Manish Sisodia's promises, as he ran away from Patparganj after betraying its residents. This duo of 'Bade Miyan' and 'Chote Miyan' has deceived the entire city of Delhi. They must be taught a lesson this time so that they think twice before making false promises again.
Shri Shah stated that Sardar Tarvinder Singh is a humble leader who is always available in the service of the people, while Manish Sisodia is only an expert in betraying the public. AAP abuses BJP daily and makes false promises, never fulfilling them. On the other hand, the BJP stands by its commitments—"BJP aur Modi Ji jo kehte hain, vo karte hain." In 2014, the BJP promised to eradicate terrorism from India. When the Uri and Pulwama attacks took place, the terrorists failed to realize that the UPA government, which they were accustomed to, was no longer in power. Within 10 days, through surgical strikes, terrorists were eliminated by entering Pakistan’s territory.
Union Home Minister stated that in 10 years, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has worked to eradicate terrorism from India, and by March 31, 2026, Naxalism will also be eliminated from the country. BJP had promised to abrogate Article 370 and on August 5, 2019, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji permanently abrogated Article 370. Back then, Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Mehbooba Mufti, Akhilesh Yadav and MK Stalin all opposed it and claimed that removing Article 370 would lead to rivers of blood flowing in Kashmir. However, no one even dares to throw a pebble now. This is BJP's governance, and Kashmir today stands as the ‘Mukutmani’ of India. Around 2 crores 8 lakh people have started visiting Kashmir for tourism, and in Lal Chowk, where the tricolour was once not hoisted, now processions for Krishna Janmashtami are being organized.
Shri Shah emphasized that when BJP promised to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Rahul Gandhi mocked it, saying, “Mandir wahin banayenge, tithi nahi batayenge.” For 70 years, Rahul Gandhi's party did nothing, leaving Ram Lalla to reside under a tent for 550 years. However, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in just 5 years, performed the Bhoomi puja, won the legal case, and completed the construction of the magnificent Ram Mandir. Today, Ram Lalla resides in all his splendour in a magnificent temple. On the other hand, AAP had promised to shut down liquor shops and clean the Yamuna River. Kejriwal even claimed he would take a dip in the Yamuna after it was cleaned. While he didn’t take the dip, BJP karyakartas made a cutout of Kejriwal taking a dip instead. The water was so polluted that even the cutout had to be taken to AIIMS, this highlights the state of Yamuna’s water today.
Union Home Minister pointed out that Kejriwal failed to clean the Yamuna, but as the BJP comes to power, work on developing a Yamuna riverfront will be completed within three years. Kejriwal has not implemented Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji's ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ in Delhi, which provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh for 60 crore people across the country. Unfortunately, the people of Delhi are deprived of this benefit. Following BJP’s victory, the ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’ will offer ₹5 lakh plus an additional ₹5 lakh, totalling ₹10 lakh worth of free treatment to the people of Delhi. Kejriwal had promised to make Delhi free of pollution, corruption, and garbage, but none of these promises have been fulfilled.
Shri Shah highlighted that in 2013, Kejriwal claimed that if he became Chief Minister, he wouldn’t take government housing, a car, or security. Yet, he ended up taking all three—security, a car, and even a bungalow. Not stopping there, Kejriwal went on to demolish four bungalows to construct a 50,000-square-foot ‘Sheesh Mahal’. A common person’s home wouldn’t have designer marble, remote-controlled curtains, clap-activated lights, a gold toilet, a ₹50 lakh carpet, a ₹15 crore water purifying system, or a ₹10 lakh recliner sofa. But all these luxuries are found in Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘Sheesh Mahal,’ built with ₹52 crore of Delhi taxpayers' money. The ‘Sheesh Mahal’ funded by the public, is inaccessible to the common people, who cannot even see it from the inside. However, the BJP assures the public that they will be shown the opulence of this palace.
Union Home Minister remarked that Arvind Kejriwal initially came forward claiming to fight corruption, but before Anna Hazare even reached Maharashtra, Kejriwal had already started his political party. Kejriwal had promised that his party would not indulge in corruption, yet he was involved in numerous scams: a ₹28,400 crore liquor scam, which saw both ‘Chote Miyan’ and ‘Bade Miyan’ jailed, a ₹5,400 crore ration distribution scam, a ₹4,500 crore DTC bus scam, a ₹1,300 crore classroom scam, a ₹500 crore panic button scam, a ₹571 crore CCTV installation scam, a ₹52 crore ‘Sheesh Mahal’ a ₹100 crore scam selling Waqf properties, and a ₹65,000 crore fake test scam. This list of corruption is endless. Kejriwal has been involved in thousands of crores worth of corruption, and the people will not bring him back to power. Kejriwal (Bade Miyan) will lose in Delhi, and Manish Sisodia (Chote Miyan) will lose in Jangpura. However, Shri Marwah, the true son of the soil, will win Jangpura by a landslide. Kejriwal has no match when it comes to lying—he is spreading false claims that if the BJP comes to power in Delhi, all welfare schemes for the poor will end. But Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has assured that no welfare scheme for the poor will be stopped. Additionally, BJP will ensure that every poor woman in Delhi receives ₹2,500 every month in her bank account.
Shri Shah highlighted that BJP has promised in its Sankalp Patra that pregnant women will receive ₹21,000 as financial assistance, and LPG cylinders will be made available for ₹500. Additionally, two free cylinders will be provided on Holi and Diwali. Every resident of Delhi will be eligible for free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh. The old-age pension will be increased to ₹2,500 per month, while the pension for widows and destitute women will be raised from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000 per month. BJP will grant ownership rights to every slum and JJ cluster. Atal Canteens will be set up in every poor settlement, offering a full meal for just ₹5. Free education will be provided from KG to PG. Auto and taxi drivers will receive ₹10 lakh in life insurance and ₹5 lakh in accident insurance. The judicial process will be completed to reopen the 13,000 shops sealed due to Kejriwal’s mistakes. Refugees from Pakistan will be granted ownership rights, and gig workers will also be provided with life insurance. People living in 1,700 unauthorized colonies will be given ownership rights. Following the example of Haryana, 50,000 youths will be provided jobs without any ‘Parchi Kharchi’, and 20 lakh new employment opportunities will be created.
Union Home Minister Shri Shah stated that in the Union Budget presented for 2025-26, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has ensured that income up to ₹12 lakh will be tax-free. In the last 10 years, under the leadership of the Hon'ble PM, BJP's double-engine governments have flourished, but Delhi has lagged as the Delhi government continues to only fight with the Centre. Just a few days ago, in a public gathering, Arvind Kejriwal was listing his 15 promises when a Sikh gentleman interrupted and said, “You have a 16th promise as well.” Pleased, Kejriwal called him on stage and asked, “What is this 16th promise?” The Sikh gentleman replied, “Instead of fulfilling all these promises, you will say that you are not being allowed to work and make excuses.” For the past decade, AAP has only made excuses. They put on innocent faces, give excuses and create a fuss in press conferences, but they have done no real work. No matter how cleverly Kejriwal lies, it's been 10 years, and the people of Delhi have seen through his lies. Only the Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji-led BJP can make Delhi the world’s best capital city, something Kejriwal cannot do. When BJP seeks votes in the next elections, the drainage and sewer water issues will be addressed. The mountains of garbage in Delhi will be cleared, and electricity will be generated from it. A garden will be developed at those locations and handed over to the people of Delhi.
Shri Shah appealed to the people of Delhi to ensure the victory of BJP Assembly candidates and form a BJP government in Delhi under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. He also urged them to remove the “AAP-da” and the duo of 'Bade Miyan' and 'Chote Miyan.'
