Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda released Part-I of the party's ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the Delhi Assembly elections at the Delhi BJP state office. Shri Nadda highlighted the achievements made under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for the development of Delhi and presented the BJP's vision for Delhi's future development. Shri Nadda strongly criticized Arvind Kejriwal for his false promises and the deception carried out by the Aam Aadmi Party. During the event, Delhi BJP In-charge and party’s National Vice-President Shri Baijayant Jay Panda, Delhi BJP President Shri Virendra Sachdeva, Election Co-Incharge Shri Atul Garg, Co-Incharge Smt. Alka Gurjar, all Delhi MPs, and senior state-level party officials, were present.
Shri Nadda stated that the BJP's ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the Delhi Assembly elections will lay the foundation of ‘Viksit Delhi’. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has revolutionized the political culture of the country. Prior to 2014, manifestos were released, but both political parties and the public would quickly forget those promises. The media and press would also forget the promises after a day or two. The shift in the political culture is what has transformed manifestos into ‘Sankalp Patras’ today. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has provided the nation with the mantra of moving from resolution to achievement. The Modi government has worked to ensure that development reaches the last person of the society and is implemented on the ground. This is why today, the BJP's declarations are called the ‘Sankalp Patra.’
BJP National President Shri Nadda stated that it is the result of the delivery, diligence, and last-mile implementation under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji that now report cards are being discussed. The BJP's track record is that “Jo kaha tha vo kiya hai aur jo nahi kaha tha vo bhi kar ke diya hai.” This is why a slogan has spread across Delhi and the entire country: “Modi ki guarantee, yani guarantee ke poora hone ki guarantee.” Whatever promises are made today, the Bharatiya Janata Party will fulfill them with a clear objective and strong determination. In 2014, the BJP made 500 promises, of which 499 promises, meaning 99.99%, were fulfilled. In 2019, the BJP made 235 promises, of which 225 promises, meaning 95.50%, were fulfilled. The remaining promises are in the implementation stage. The BJP has focused on the welfare of the poor, good governance, development, women’s empowerment, and bringing youth, farmers and the working class into the mainstream. As a result, according to the NITI Aayog report, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty today.
Shri Nadda stated that when the BJP forms the government in Delhi, it will enhance and implement welfare schemes more effectively by eliminating the corruption in which Aam Aadmi Party thrives. For instance, while bus services for women were made free, there was no increase in the number of buses. Once the BJP forms the government in Delhi, we will strengthen all ongoing schemes and make them free of corruption. For the ‘AAP-da’ party, Delhi’s welfare policies are all about corruption and commissions. The BJP will cleanse these policies of corruption and ensure they focus on the welfare of the people. The BJP's manifesto has been thoroughly worked upon, with discussions on bringing women, youth, the middle class, professionals, traders, slum dwellers and workers in the unorganized sector into the mainstream.
BJP National President Shri Nadda mentioned that no other political party has undertaken such a detailed and thorough process. The BJP received around 1,80,000 feedback submissions and engaged with approximately 62 cohort groups. To facilitate these discussions, nearly 12,000 meetings of varying scales were organized within the party. Additionally, 41 LED vans were deployed to reach every corner, and neighborhood of Delhi, with BJP MPs, MLAs, and Ward Councillors working tirelessly to ensure widespread engagement. The first part of the manifesto was being released, with the second and third parts to follow in due course. He emphasized that women’s respect and empowerment has always been a priority for the BJP and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, with the party consistently bringing them to the forefront. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, over 12.5 crore toilets have been constructed, which has significantly contributed to women's empowerment. All of BJP's schemes have been dedicated to advancing women's empowerment. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, more than 10 crore 35 lakh people have received gas connections, along with a subsidy of ₹300, which has empowered women and delivered visible results to everyone. The Madhya Pradesh government is providing ₹1,250 per month to 1 crore 3 lakh women under ‘Mahila Samman’ initiative. Similarly, the Maharashtra government is offering ₹1,250 per month to 2 crore 40 lakh people. In Chhattisgarh, ₹1,000 per month is being provided to 70 lakh women. Haryana has decided to provide ₹2,100 per month to women. Additionally, under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana,’ ₹5,000 is given for the birth of the first child and ₹6,000 for the second, benefiting nearly 4 crore 73 lakh women. As part of women’s empowerment, maternity leave for pregnant women has been extended from 12 weeks to 26 weeks, which is not just an ordinary decision but one that will bring a transformative change for future generations.
Women Empowerment
Shri Nadda stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided that once the BJP forms the government in Delhi, ₹2,500 per month will be given to women under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, and this will be passed in the very first Cabinet meeting. The BJP has committed to providing ₹2,500 per month to the women of Delhi. Additionally, poor women will receive a subsidy of ₹500 on cylinders, and one free cylinder will be provided during Diwali and Holi. In order to strengthen the Maternity Vandana Yojana, six nutritional kits and ₹21,000 per pregnant woman will be provided by the Chief Minister. Along with these initiatives, the people of Delhi also need to understand the track record of the AAP government. This very Aam Aadmi Party brought the 'AAP-da' to Delhi. In 2021, AAP promised to provide ₹1,000 per month to women, but this promise was neither fulfilled in Delhi nor in Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party had also promised to provide ₹1,000 in 2024, but this promise was never fulfilled, neither in Delhi nor in Punjab. The AAP has neither the intention nor the objective to implement any scheme. They repeatedly promised subsidies on LPG gas cylinders, but no subsidies were provided. Additionally, the pension for widows and destitute women will be increased from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000.
Health
BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which was launched in 2017-18, initially covered 12 crore 74 lakh families, equating to 55 crore people. Later, 36 lakh Anganwadi workers and ASHA workers were added to the scheme. After the 2024 elections, under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana,’ it was decided to provide ₹5 lakh health coverage until their last breath to people above the age of 70, which covered 6 crore people. It is regrettable that since 2018, the ‘AAP-da’ party has denied around 51 lakh people access to this scheme. The BJP has committed that if it forms the government in Delhi, it will implement Ayushman Bharat in both letter and spirit in the first cabinet meeting. Additionally, the Delhi government will provide an extra ₹5 lakh in health coverage, bringing the total coverage to ₹10 lakh under Ayushman Bharat. If this scheme had been implemented in Delhi in 2018, 51 lakh people would have benefitted, but they were deprived of it. The Delhi High Court directed the Delhi government to sign an MoU with the Centre, but Kejriwal's anti-people AAP government failed to implement the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The AAP's Mohalla Clinics have become den of corruption. While the Ayushman Arogya Mandir has been praised globally, the AAP only boasts of its work with fake certifications. Around ₹300 crore have been embezzled in the AAP's Mohalla Clinics, and once the BJP forms the government in Delhi, these scams will be investigated. Medicine supplies worth ₹100 crore were distributed to the Chief Minister’s close aides, and this should also be investigated. BJP has ensured that all continuing schemes will be corruption-free, and those implicated in corruption will face jail.
BJP National President Shri nadda stated that when the Covid pandemic struck the nation and Delhi, the ‘AAP-da’ government betrayed the Purvanchalis, forcing them to leave Delhi and sending them to Anand Vihar bus stand in an act of sheer inhumanity. Today, the AAP is trying to portray itself as the champion of Purvanchalis, shedding crocodile tears, but they must understand that the people of Delhi will not be fooled. The public will not spare them for their deceit and will ensure they are dethroned from power. When Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji was praising scientists for developing vaccines to combat the pandemic and BJP karyakartas were going door-to-door providing meals, medicines, and arranging oxygen cylinders under the “Seva Hi Sankalp” initiative, Arvind Kejriwal was busy deceiving the people with false statements about oxygen availability. He was forcing Purvanchalis to leave the state and, at the same time, building his extravagant ‘Sheesh Mahal.’ While the nation fought against Covid with determination and compassion, Kejriwal was crafting plans for the liquor scam, prioritizing his political interests over the welfare of Delhi's citizens.
Shri Nadda stated that the AAP's Sanjeevani Scheme is actually Sanjeevani to save their government. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana has been implemented across the country for over five years, but they have kept the people of Delhi deprived of it. This is because the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal have no concern for the people of Delhi. Instead, they engage in baseless accusations. The time has come for Delhi to join the mainstream under the leadership of the BJP and the supervision of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and move forward swiftly.
Welfare of the Poor
To ease the lives of elderly citizens, regular increments were made to their pensions in Rajasthan. In line with this commitment, the BJP government will increase the senior citizen pension for individuals aged 60 to 70 years from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500. Additionally, the pension for senior citizens above 70 years, as well as for widows and destitute women, will be raised from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000. In contrast, the ‘AAP-da’ party has halted various welfare schemes and stopped pensions, showcasing their disregard for the underprivileged. 80,000 elderly citizens passed away, and even their vacant slots for old-age pensions were not filled. This stands as a glaring example of how AAP troubles the poor and neglects their welfare. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, for the last four years, the BJP has been providing 5 kg of wheat/rice and 1 kg of pulses per month to 80 crore people across the country, including 75 lakh people in Delhi. BJP governments in Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan have made arrangements to provide full meals to poor people for just ₹5. The BJP has decided to introduce similar arrangements in Delhi by launching the Atal Canteen Scheme, which will provide full meals at ₹5 in all slum clusters. The AAP government had announced in 2015 that it would run Aam Aadmi Canteens at 100 locations, a promise that remains unfulfilled to this day. This betrayal and mockery of poor people by the AAP government will not be forgotten, and the people of Delhi will give a befitting reply to AAP for their deceit.
Shri Nadda urged the people of Delhi to support those who are serving the public, working for the welfare of the poor, empowering the common man, promoting women empowerment, strengthening the healthcare sector, and working to bring these efforts into the mainstream. He emphasized that the BJP, with the symbol of the 'Lotus,' is the means to empower all these individuals. These schemes will be implemented once the BJP forms the government in Delhi, and they will apply to the NDMC area and Delhi Cantonment. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has approved the 8th Pay Commission, and its recommendations will be implemented by 2026, following the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission in 2016. This will provide more power and benefits to our working-class people. If any party has the mindset, willpower, and political will to address and implement the concerns of all sections of society, it is only the Bharatiya Janata Party. The BJP has done what it promised and even fulfilled what was not promised. In the same manner, the BJP will fulfill the promises it is making for Delhi.
