8 ministers, 15 MLAs, 1 MP, the Deputy Chief Minister, and the Chief Minister of the AAP government have ended up in jail. Since India's independence, there is hardly any government that has committed so many wrongdoings. That is why it is crucial for ‘AAP-da’ to leave Delhi

Bharataiya Janata Party Leader and Lok Sabha MP Shri Anurag Thakur addressed a press conference at the Central Office of BJP in New Delhi on Saturday. During his address, Shri Thakur presented 10 findings from the CAG report and criticized the Aam Aadmi Party for causing a ₹2,026 crore loss to the exchequer in Delhi through the liquor scam. He questioned why the AAP had not presented the report and accused Arvind Kejriwal of deceiving the public.
Shri Thakur stated that although it's the financial year 2025, the liquor scam amounts to ₹2,026 crore. The Delhi Liquor scam has resulted in a ₹2,026 crore loss to the exchequer. He remarked that AAP had promised to build ‘Pathshala,’ but instead, they constructed ‘Madhushala.’ They talked about ‘Jhaadu,’ but it led them to ‘Daaru.’ They spoke of ‘Swaraj,’ but it turned into ‘Sharab.’ The journey of the past 10 years of the AAP government is marked by corruption and ‘AAP KA PAAP.’ There is not just one but multiple scams that have taken place. This is a government, whose 8 ministers, 15 MLAs, 1 MP, and even their CM and Deputy CM went to jail. Since Independence, there has been no government that has committed as many sins as AAP has. That is why ‘AAP-da’ must go from power. When the people of Delhi were battling Covid, facing a lack of oxygen and facilities, the AAP government remained indifferent. During that critical time, they were busy conspiring in the liquor scam. Instead of classrooms, liquor shops were opened, a decision made by a minister embroiled in the liquor scam, not an education minister.
Shri Thakur highlighted the 10 findings in the CAG report:
· Finding 1, reveals a revenue loss of ₹2,026 crores, while Finding 2 points to deviations from the original objectives of the policy.
· Finding 3 indicates that the Expert Panel's recommendations were ignored by the Group of Ministers (GOM).
· Finding 4 shows that all entities were allowed to bid despite complaints, and Finding 5 notes that the financial condition of the bidders was not flagged.
· Finding 6 highlights violations in the issuance of licenses, but Finding 7 reveals that no penalties were imposed.
· Finding 8 shows a lack of transparency in pricing, while Finding 9 emphasizes that the Cabinet and Lieutenant Governor's approval was not sought for many key decisions.
Senior BJP Leader Shri Thakur stated that if Delhi has faced a fiscal scam of ₹2026 crores today, the sole responsibility lies with Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. Arvind Kejriwal is the ‘Kingpin’ of the liquor scam.
· Finding 10 reveals that the excise rules were not presented in the Assembly for ratification. This report was not created by any political party or opposition, but by the country's institution responsible for ensuring accountability.
Shri Thakur pointed out that when the Lieutenant Governor suggested presenting the CAG report in the Assembly, what was Chief Minister Atishi's reason for not presenting it yet, in order to conceal the wrongdoings of the Aam Aadmi Party? This report highlights all the scams and corruption, ranging from the Sheesh Mahal to the liquor scam. As voters prepare to cast their votes in the upcoming Assembly elections, they should definitely reflect on the fact that 11 years ago, Arvind Kejriwal promised not to acquire a big house, a car, or security. However, he has now created a Sheesh Mahal by combining 8 houses, taken the highest level of security, and been involved in numerous scams. The person responsible for the AAP's wrongdoings is Arvind Kejriwal.
BJP MP Shri Thakur pointed out that Chief Minister Atishi does not consider herself as the Chief Minister, the election is not being fought under her leadership, and Arvind Kejriwal, having committed several wrongdoings during his previous term, is not eligible to become the Chief Minister again. As a result, the Aam Aadmi Party has no honest face left to lead the election. Kejriwal will have to face the repercussions of these wrongdoings and answer why the CAG report was not presented. He will also need to address the 10 findings of the CAG report, explaining why the rules were disregarded, why the approval of the Lieutenant Governor and Cabinet was not obtained, and who profited from the ₹2026 crore deficit in Delhi.
