Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson & Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi and BJP candidate from New Delhi Assembly and former MP Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh addressed a joint press conference at the party’s Delhi state office, on Sunday. During the conference, Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi and Shri Parvesh Singh Verma strongly criticized the Aam Aadmi Party for misleading the people of Delhi by providing false information through fake phone calls about their votes being cut. Dr. Trivedi remarked that Arvind Kejriwal, the so-called but now ousted Chief Minister of Delhi, seeing his certain defeat against BJP candidate Shri Parvesh Singh Verma, has resorted to such mischievous actions, which the people of Delhi may have never witnessed before.
Dr. Trivedi expressed that the completion of 75 years of the Republic of India, the mother of democracy, is a moment of immense pride for all citizens. Today, the entire nation stands united in this shared sentiment. But there are many powers that do not want to see India progress, and for that purpose, they resort to various tactics and create obstacles both within and outside the nation. Against such forces, the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji-led BJP and NDA government have stood firm, and we are determined to thwart every conspiracy against India.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Trivedi highlighted that the 2008 horrific terrorist attack, known as 26/11, remains a painful memory for India. The US Supreme Court's decision to clear Mumbai attack convict Tahawwur Rana's extradition to India is a matter of immense satisfaction for every Indian, especially for the families of those who lost their lives in the attack. This decision has been made possible due to the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi-led government’s strong resolve to fight terrorism. It reflects the effective coordination of diplomatic efforts to secure India's interests in complex international situations. Earlier, we witnessed success when Masood Azhar was declared a terrorist by the United Nations. From the perspective of India's security and prestige, the US Supreme Court’s decision to extradite Tahawwur Rana is a proud moment for all Indians. It marks the beginning of a new era in India's security, prestige, and diplomatic efficiency.
Dr. Trivedi stated that there was a time when, after the 2008 attack, India was ready to take action, but the government of the time did not allow it, fearing that the atmosphere created by such action might benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party and Barack Obama has written about this in his book ‘A Promised Land.’ There were many such forces in the country back then, and today, during the Delhi elections, both the main opposition parties of the BJP—the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and Congress—are being exposed. There are many organizations and NGOs associated with the Aam Aadmi Party that constantly seek ways to protect those accused of terrorism. The character of both AAP and Congress is now clear to the people of Delhi and the country. Even the family members of Delhi CM Atishi Marlena were involved in finding ways to save Afzal Guru, a convicted terrorist. On the other hand, the BJP, under the leadership of Modi ji, remains steadfast in ensuring that no opportunity is ever given to shield any terrorist. Today is another happy moment as the Bharatiya Janata Party has achieved splendid success in 10 out of 11 municipal corporations in the municipal elections in Uttarakhand. This wave of victory from Uttarakhand will now lead to a decisive and effective mandate in favor of the BJP in Delhi as well.
BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Trivedi remarked that Arvind Kejriwal, upon seeing his inevitable defeat against BJP candidate Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh, has become so desperate that he has started doing things which the people of Delhi have probably never seen before. A few days ago, bomb threat hoax calls were made to schools in Delhi, and when the matter was investigated, a minor was apprehended. The parents of that minor had ties to an NGO that sympathized with Afzal Guru and other terrorists. Similar to the fake bomb threat calls, the Aam Aadmi Party is now making fake calls to the people of Delhi. They first tell people that their vote has been cut, and then later claim that Arvind Kejriwal has restored their vote. There are several schemes that the Aam Aadmi Party has not yet implemented in Delhi, but the calls are claiming that these schemes will be stopped by the BJP.
Dr. Trivedi stated that in Maharashtra, the Bharatiya Janata Party had announced the Mahila Samman Yojana and three installments were given before the model code of conduct was imposed. Similarly, in Madhya Pradesh, four installments were provided before the election code of conduct was enforced. In Assam, financial assistance has been provided under the Mahila Samman Yojana for the past five years. If the Aam Aadmi Party is honest, why didn’t they implement any schemes before the model code of conduct? The Aam Aadmi Party only makes false promises and fails to fulfil them. The Aam Aadmi Party is attempting to create a false impression that the schemes they didn’t implement will be discontinued. Kejriwal is now focused on the struggle to save his seat in New Delhi. It is becoming evident to him in this election that his mask has now fallen off.
BJP candidate frpm New Delhi assembly constituency, Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh remarked that Arvind Kejriwal is not only losing from the New Delhi Assembly, but all the candidates of the Aam Aadmi Party are also losing by a huge margin. The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to form the government in Delhi on 8th February. Therefore, Arvind Kejriwal is resorting to new tactics to confuse and scare the people of Delhi. Fake calls are being made, claiming that if the BJP forms the government in Delhi, all the schemes will be discontinued. However, the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has clearly stated that all the welfare schemes announced by Arvind Kejriwal, none of which have been implemented on the ground, will be completed by the Bharatiya Janata Party and brought to fruition.
Shri Singh remarked that Kejriwal claims to have provided clean water to all of Delhi. So, those whose homes receive clean water 24 hours a day should definitely vote for the Aam Aadmi Party. And those whose homes don't get drinkable water should vote for the BJP. The fake calls being made by the Aam Aadmi Party should be ignored by the people of Delhi. Separate calls are being made to the people of the New Delhi Assembly, and a complaint has been lodged with the Election Commission regarding how Arvind Kejriwal got access to the complete data of the residents of New Delhi. The calls to the people of New Delhi claim that the BJP candidate has had their vote cut, and that discussions are happening with the Election Commission to restore their vote by sending a list. In the evening, another call is made, congratulating them and claiming that Arvind Kejriwal has restored their vote.
Shri Singh stated that every voter is being informed of their mobile number, name and voter ID number during the calls. This data cannot be with any agency other than the Election Commission unless the voter themselves provides this information to someone. How did Arvind Kejriwal get access to this data? There should be an investigation into where Arvind Kejriwal stole this data from. If the people of Delhi receive such calls, they should kindly ignore them. The Aam Aadmi Party is not informing voters about how many hospitals were built under their government, how many jobs were provided, how many slum dwellers were given homes, or how many senior citizens received pensions. Instead of sharing these details, the Aam Aadmi Party is creating fear and confusion among the people of Delhi.
Shri Singh stated that Arvind Kejriwal is mocking the election process. Two days ago, Kejriwal said to the people of Delhi, “Don’t sell your vote, people will buy it, but you must not sell it.” Arvind Kejriwal himself is buying the votes of the poor people living in the slums of the New Delhi Assembly for ₹500. Now, either “Punjab Government” is written on private vehicles, or Punjab Government vehicles are being used for private purposes. Thousands of people from outside are distributing money to the residents of the New Delhi Assembly. Shri Singh also presented video evidence of this.
BJP leader Shri Singh stated that Arvind Kejriwal spent only ₹6 crore out of the ₹30 crore allocated for his MLA fund, and ₹24 crore lapsed. If this fund had been spent on the welfare of the public, there would have been no need to distribute ₹500 to people. Where is the Aam Aadmi Party getting all this money from, and where have these crores of rupees been hidden? A complaint has been filed with the Election Commission and the Delhi Police. The Delhi Police registered a case under sections 123/1, 173, 3/5 after filing an NCR report, and arrested three individuals. These three individuals confessed that they were brought in from outside on a daily wage of ₹800 and were instructed to distribute calendars and ₹500 in every household. AAP is unable to find workers in Delhi, as people are not allowing them to enter their colonies. Arvind Kejriwal has not held a single meeting with 50 people in the past month. Shri Singh urged the voters of New Delhi to stay alert and report such acts of distributing money to the BJP office, Delhi Police, and the Election Commission. He also called for the Election Commission to take action against the violation of the election code of conduct.
