Press Release
BJP National Vice-President, Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Lalu Govt. is indulging in the slaughter of Muslims economic and social development in Bihar with the sword of pseudo-secularism and is an ideal government for the Congress and Communist.

Shri Naqvi said that Bihar has become the laboratory of heinous crimes against the minorities, where in last 15 years they have been intoxicated with the opium of pseudo-secularism by Shri Lalu Prashad Yadav, so as to exploit the socio-economic backwardness of the minorities by offering them a lollipop.

Shri Naqvi said for the Congress and Communist Party's the pseudo-secular, Lalu Rabri government is a "role model" secular government which is otherwise symbolic of fear, hunger and corruption that has thrown to winds all norms of democracy.

Shri Naqvi accused Shri Lalu Prashad Yadav of making the Justice Banerjee report as an issue in Bihar Elections, where as he had failed to provide justice to thousands of innocent muslims who had become the target during Bhagalpur riots in 1989. It is a sad commentary on Shri Lalu Prashad Yadav's emotions when one is reminded of those 120 innocent members of minority community who were massacred at the hands of Bihar police and are still searching for justice. If it has taken fifteen years for Lalu to bring to books, those who were behind this heinous massacre, has no business to shed crocodile tears in the name of Banerjee Committee report, which is motivated by Lalu's vested interest so as to divert his fifteen years of mis-governance and misdeeds.

Shri Naqvi said that, Shri Lalu Prashad Yadav has released his election manifesto 2005 which is a verbatim of his 2000 election manifesto promises for the minorities and has tried to project himself as a great Messiah of the minorities. According to Bihar Govt.'s survey on socio-economic development of the minorities in the last fifteen years of Lalu Yadav's rule shows that more than 50% of the minorities are living below the poverty line, 45% are illiterate, over 75% are unemployed and farmers, labourers are running from pillar to post for their rights, Shri Naqvi said the RJD government seeking votes shamelessly in the name of "Secularism and Social Justice" is a farce.

Shri Naqvi said that the time is right when minorities should throw out this pseudo-secular government which has made Bihar into a "laboratory for political exploitation". Thus dethroning of Lalu government is the only guarantee for social and economic progress of the minorities.
