Press statement issued by BJP National Spokesperson and MP, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi Congress Party : India's Pakistani Agent

As the entire world is shocked and deeply saddened by the unfortunate mass-murder of over a 130 people in Paris by the ISIS, India strongly condemns and stands united with the victims, vowing to fight the menace of terrorism jointly, as a result, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 10 Point Plan to fight terrorism has been acknowledged and supported by the G-20 Countries unequivocally. International forums have time and again validated and acknowledged India’s foreign policy with regard to its efforts and resolve to stand united against terrorism and for peace.

Despite this, we have a Hate-India constituency within India which has been attacking our resolve to fight communally divisive forces. Be it Digvijay Singh providing cover to Hafiz Saeed by blaming RSS for the 26/11 carnage or calling Osama bin Laden as “Osamaji” or Congress Defense Minister AK Antony describing Pakistani Terrorists as "merely dressed in Pakistani Army Uniforms".

The former government of the country has been working and promoting a communally divisive agenda in some form or the other which most recently has been polarization. This is a direct insult to the Muslim fraternity of the country as the Congress Party seems to believe that they are incapable of sound decision making. The quintessential question to ask then is- What has the Congress Party done for the betterment of the minorities of the country in terms of their socio-economic development?

Numbers speak for themselves, and the ugly truth is that after almost 60 years of Congress rule in this country, a party which claims to represent minorities and Muslims in particular has failed miserably to deliver on their promises. The Muslims continue living in the worst socio-economic conditions. The Average Monthly Per Capita Expenditure for a Muslim household in India in the year 2009-10 was the lowest, standing at Rs. 980 compared to the national average of approximately Rs. 1200.

When Mani Shankar Aiyar justifies Charlie Hebdo or the recent terrorist attacks on Paris, it is as tragic as the events themselves. He is a national disgrace and the people of India ought to condemn such a mindset that promotes hate and disharmony. The recent statement by Salman Khurshid in Pakistan criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Praising Nawaz Sharif displays his despicable character. He is a habitual offender in the business of dividing us Indians, on communal lines.

It is indeed important to remind Mr. Salman Khurshid, the former Minister of External Affairs that while he held office, the then Prime Minister of the country, Dr. Manmohan Singh was insulted by the Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who called him a “Dehati Aurat” and it was none other than the former Chief Minister of Gujarat and the now, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi who strongly condemned such remarks. It is rather astonishing that Mr. Khurshid issued no statement in response to such defamation.

Discredited politicians who have been rejected by the populous majority of the country are deceiving Bharatiyas with a format of fake secularism cocktailed in anti-India pandering worldwide.

Since the people of India have rejected the Congress leadership, is the congress party, through Mani Shankar Aiyar, now seeking support from Pakistan, whose former Prime Minister Pervez Mushrraf openly accepted to have trained terrorists in his country to attack India, to topple a democratically elected Government of India run by the NDA?

The same Congress Party today is finding new shelter to safeguard itself from the disclosures made in public by Dr. Subramanian Swamy about Congress Vice President, Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s nationality through documents. This is a serious issue as legal documents have legal repercussions and the country awaits a legal clarification by the Congress Party.

The Bharatiya Janata Party strongly condemns such anti-national acts of the Congress Party and seeks an explanation from their leadership about these critical issues.
