BJP National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda today tweeted, tagging InfoInData's tweet on the social media platform ‘X’. Shri Nadda strongly criticized Aam Aadmi Party's convenor Arvind Kejriwal for falsely accusing the Haryana government over the pollution of the Yamuna River. He stated that the InfoInData infographic on Yamuna River pollution exposes the incompetence, misgovernance, and mismanagement of the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal is spreading fear among Delhi residents for political gain and should apologize to the people of Haryana and Delhi for this.
The infographic in the tagged tweet highlights that when the Yamuna enters Delhi from Haryana, the Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) is 2 mg/l and the ammonia level is 5.5 mg/l. However, as the Yamuna flows from Delhi towards Uttar Pradesh, the BOD increases to 85 mg/l and the ammonia level rises to 56.1 mg/l.
Shri Nadda stated that for over 10 years, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal's government has done nothing but corruption, repeated lies, and empty promises. Despite receiving ₹8,500 crore from the central government, the ‘AAP-Da’ government has not taken any meaningful action for cleaning the Yamuna River.
BJP National President, while referring to the infographic by InfoInData, pointed out how pollution increases as the Yamuna enters Delhi. Instead of taking responsibility for the pollution in the river, Arvind Kejriwal and the ‘AAP-Da’ have started spreading fear among Delhi residents for political gain. Kejriwal should apologize to the people of Haryana and Delhi for his statement.
In the tweet tagged by Shri Nadda, it was mentioned that after entering Delhi through Pallah from Haryana, the truth about pollution in the Yamuna came to light. Both ammonia and BOD levels rise rapidly, reflecting the Delhi government's incompetence in cleaning the river. InfoInData, after gathering information from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), reported on the BOD and ammonia levels in the Yamuna.
