Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson & MP Dr Sudhanshu Trivedi and BJP Delhi State President Shri Virendra Sachdeva addressed a joint press conference at the Delhi BJP office, on Thursday. During the conference,  Dr Trivedi said that just 6 months ago Congress and Aam Aadmi Party were giving clean chit to each other and now they are exposing each other's corruption. One thing has become very clear to the people of Delhi that both these parties lie. He also said that Arvind Kejriwal has brought the politics of Delhi to a low and shallow level with his poisonous speech about Yamuna water. Shri Sachdeva said that both AAP and Congress are two sides of the same coin, even if they embrace each other in the evening, there should be no surprise. For the last 26 years, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party have looted Delhi together. Now the people of Delhi have made up their mind to teach a lesson to both the parties.

Dr Trivedi stated that the Delhi election is at its peak, revealing the true faces of key political figures. Today, the BJP will present two statements from the top leaders of the two parties to the media and the public. The first statement comes from Rahul Gandhi, the de facto leader of Congress, despite someone else holding the official position of the party’s president. Rahul remarked that the liquor scam was a blatant example of corruption and Kejriwal is corrupt, yet, Kejriwal continues to present himself as honest. The second statement comes from Arvind Kejriwal, the ‘real Chief Minister’ of the country’s newest political party, Aam Aadmi Party. Kejriwal tweeted that the National Herald case is an open-and-shut case, where Rahul Gandhi is involved in corruption, yet he is calling others corrupt.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr Trivedi stated that the Delhi liquor scam and the National Herald scam are two distinct and unparalleled cases in Indian politics. In the Delhi liquor scam, there has never been an example where a government introduced a policy and then retracted it. Even after withdrawing the policy, the government defended it in front of the media, claiming it was a good policy. An example of the liquor scam carried out by the Kejriwal government is unprecedented in Indian politics. In the National Herald case, it is the first time a party has committed a scam within its organization. A company with assets worth thousands of crores was sold, despite having liabilities of only ₹90 crores. Such an incident has never been seen in Indian politics.

Dr Trivedi stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has no involvement in either of these cases. The National Herald case was initiated in October 2013 with a petition filed in the Delhi High Court during the Congress government. The first allegation regarding the Delhi liquor scam was made by Congress. It has now become clear how deeply tarnished the true character of this so-called “Kattar Immandar” leader is, as revealed by his former partner.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr Trivedi stated that the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party had given each other a clean chit merely six months ago, but now they are exposing each other's corruption. This means that the Congress party lied about the National Herald case and AAP about the liquor scam. The INDI Alliance still exists as there has been no official announcement of its dissolution, meaning it is part of a loose coalition. Their lies have been politically exposed. Everyone has witnessed the low level to which politics has been brought by AAP and Delhi’s so-called "real CM" Arvind Kejriwal, especially with his poisonous remarks about Yamuna’s water.

Dr Trivedi stated that the Election Commission's request for Kejriwal to provide proof of his claims and clarify how he had stopped certain actions has made it clear that his lies were not only morally wrong but also constitutionally incorrect. Both politically and constitutionally, Kejriwal's lies have been fully exposed. Now, the people of Delhi clearly understand that the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, deeply entrenched in corruption, came together only to protect each other's corruption and cover up the truth with lies. Both Congress and AAP have now been fully exposed. Following the Election Commission's questions, an apology would be an insignificant matter for Kejriwal, and the people of Delhi will not forgive him.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr Trivedi stated that they used to call themselves very honest, but from a constitutional perspective, they are proving to be false. And the Congress party is also proving to be false with their old allies. He remarked, quoting the line, “Woh Pairvi Toh Jhoot Ki Karta Chala Gaya, Bas Uska Chehra Utarta Chala Gaya. Rangat Samajh Mein Aayi Toh Aayi Der Se, Kaccha Tha Rang Jo Utarta Chala Gaya. The true nature of the lie has fully emerged. The funds allocated for the cleaning of Yamuna were not used by the Aam Aadmi Party government. To conceal their incompetence, a campaign of misinformation was carried out, using lies of the lowest kind. During the India-Pakistan war, Pakistan never made such allegations that India had poisoned their rivers. Those who demanded proof of the surgical strike are the ones who have levelled such accusations between one state and another.

Dr Trivedi remarked that the central government had allocated ₹8,500 crore for the cleaning of Yamuna, but instead of using it, a campaign of misinformation was spread. This issue is no longer just about water; it has now become a matter of the people of Delhi’s dignity, and respect. He, while requesting the people of Delhi, quoted a line: “Rahiman Pani Rakhiye, Bin Pani Sab Soon, Pani Gaye Na Oobre, Moti Manas Choon.” Now, the people of Delhi must protect their water and give a strong response to those who speak poisonous words on 5th February.

BJP Delhi State President Shri Sachdeva stated that Arvind Kejriwal should also raise the issues of corruption from where he originally started his political journey. He should have talked about Sheila Dikshit’s 22 air conditioners and the Commonwealth scams, and if he were a little more open, he should have also mentioned the scams involving his brother-in-law. Why is Congress hesitating as well? Rahul Gandhi simply mentions liquor and the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and then falls silent, while the list of Arvind Kejriwal's scams is quite long. There was a ₹73,000 crore scam in the Delhi Jal Board, a ₹1,300 crore scam in the name of education, a ₹500 crore scam under the guise of panic buttons, and 65,000 fake tests in Mohalla Clinics. Rahul Gandhi should have reminded people of these as well, but both parties are engaging in politics for their convenience.

Shri Sachdeva further said the people of Delhi clearly understand that both parties (Congress and AAP) are two sides of the same coin, and it wouldn’t be surprising if they embraced each other by the evening. For the past 26 years, Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party have together looted Delhi. In the elections on February 5, the people of Delhi must vote to free themselves from these corrupt parties. Under the leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Delhi will see true development. It is time to remove those who obstruct Delhi’s progress. On February 5, the people of Delhi will deliver their verdict in favour of a double-engine government.
