The senior Vice President of Pakistan People Party (PPP) Mr. Maqdoom Amin Faheem today called on BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi.
In the back drop of the yesterday's incidents in Jaipur, Shri Rajnath Singh raised the issue of terrorism and expressed grave concern about this problem and involvement of certain groups operating from Pakistani soil. Mr. Faheem said that as far as terrorism was concerned, he and his party were also against of all kind of terrorism any where in the world.
He further said that both India and Pakistan are badly affected by terrorism, so a joint strategy should be formulated to tackle this menace.
The two leaders also exchanged views on the prevailing political scenario in their respective countries. Shri Rajnath Singh said that the democracy in Pakistan should be strengthened.
"A vibrant democratic environment in Pakistan will be more conducive for improving the relations between the two countries", he added.
The meeting lasted for nearly 45 minutes and Mr. Faheem also extended an invitation to Mr. Rajnath Singh to visit Pakistan.
