Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Friday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia revealed that the AAP government in Delhi failed to utilize funds allocated for SC-ST welfare, presenting evidence against Arvind Kejriwal. He also targeted Rahul Gandhi for advocating Muslim reservation in Karnataka and Mamata Banerjee for casting doubts on India's economic growth during her UK visit.

Shri Bhatia stated that those who keep a copy of the Constitution in their pockets and flaunt it before the nation should open it once—inside, they will find only blank pages. The people of India have witnessed in the past few days the true character of the bigoted and dishonest Arvind Kejriwal, along with the fake Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, both of whom engage in anti-Dalit politics. Merely holding the Constitution does not mean one understands its true spirit. Rahul Gandhi distributes a book that resembles the Constitution, but its pages are empty—just like his party’s commitment to constitutional values. Similarly, Arvind Kejriwal placed a portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar behind him while serving as Chief Minister, yet his real character is toxic, anti-Dalit, and anti-backward society. The Bharatiya Janata Party has repeatedly exposed this hypocrisy. In Punjab, where the AAP government is in power, the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was vandalized in Amritsar on January 26, 2025. Yet, not a single word of condemnation has come from Arvind Kejriwal. When the cupboards of his government are opened, they reveal only skeletons of corruption and broken promises. When the Aam Aadmi Party government presented the budget in Delhi, it included four major schemes for Dalits, backward communities, minorities, and students. However, the people of Delhi entrusted the Bharatiya Janata Party with the opportunity to serve, and it is a matter of pride that when Delhi Chief Minister Smt Rekha Gupta ji presented the budget, it reflected a new vision and fresh enthusiasm. This budget was designed with a focus on ensuring a bright future for Delhi, and a firm commitment was made to fulfilling the promises made to the people. A prime example of this is the scheme to provide ₹2,500 per month to every woman, for which a budgetary provision of ₹5,100 crore has been made. This reflects a governance model where promises are honored with commitment. In contrast, Arvind Kejriwal's politics is built on broken promises.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that the scheme for improving Dalit settlements, which was first introduced in the 2020-21 budget during the COVID-19 pandemic. At a time when supporting Dalits and backward communities should have been a priority, the AAP government showed no interest in proper budget allocation or implementation of welfare schemes. Instead, Arvind Kejriwal focused on introducing a liquor policy and constructing his extravagant Sheesh Mahal, disregarding the real needs of the people. In the financial year 2020-21, ₹65 crore was allocated for the improvement of Dalit settlements, but only ₹50 lakh—less than 1%—was actually utilized. Similarly, under the Jai Bhim CM Pratibha Vikas Yojana, ₹70 crore was allocated in 2022-23, yet not a single rupee was spent. Arvind Kejriwal, a symbol of wastefulness, corruption, and blatant dishonesty, misleads people by announcing grand allocations but never utilizing the funds. Instead, he spends extravagantly on advertisements to falsely claim credit. In 2023-24, Kejriwal slashed the scheme’s budget from ₹70 crore to ₹20 crore, and shockingly, only ₹1 lakh was utilized—likely for advertisements.  This pattern exposes Kejriwal’s anti-Dalit and deceitful governance. The people of Delhi deserve answers—why were these funds left unused while Dalits and backward communities were denied their rightful benefits?

Shri Bhatia highlighted a glaring pattern of neglect and deception in the AAP government's handling of welfare schemes. Over four years, a total of ₹180 crore was allocated for the improvement of Dalit settlements, but only ₹4.40 crore was actually spent. Similarly, under the Jai Bhim CM Pratibha Vikas Yojana, aimed at minorities, OBCs, and economically weaker sections, ₹250 crore was allocated over four years, but only ₹4.2 crore (1.7%) was utilized. Shockingly, not a single rupee was spent under this scheme in 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23. Apart from this, ₹461 crore was allocated in 4 years in CM Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana, but only ₹32 crore was used which was only 7%. During the Covid period of 2020-21, ₹150 crore was allocated under this scheme, but not a single penny was used. This is the condition of every scheme. Huge budgets are allocated for advertisements, applause is looted, but nothing reaches the ground. In reality, the public gets zero. That is why the public calls them Papi AAP and considers them a disaster. Kejriwal sucks the hard-earned money of the public like a vacuum cleaner. Nothing for the public, but he has a Sheesh Mahal for himself, there are liquor businessmen too and they are his relatives.

National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia highlighted evidence of an anti-Dalit mindset. Three years ago, after winning the Punjab elections, a promise was made to appoint a Deputy Chief Minister from the Dalit community, yet it remains unfulfilled to this day. Another instance is the 2019-20 scheme, which pledged to send 100 meritorious Dalit students abroad each year. Over four years, instead of the promised 500 students, only five were actually sent.

Shri Bhatia stated that it was crucial to discuss the anti-Dalit mindset of the immature, part-time, and irresponsible 54-year-old leader, Rahul Gandhi. A recent incident in Karnataka raises two crucial questions. Rahul Gandhi, who frequently carries a copy of the Constitution, must clarify whether he abides by the Indian Constitution or the one from Italy. Nowhere in the Indian Constitution does it state that government contracts can be allocated based on religion. Articles 14, 15, and 16 explicitly prohibit discrimination on religious grounds and do not permit reservations on this basis. Yet, the implementation of such policies in Karnataka clearly reflects the dominance of appeasement politics in the state and exposes Rahul Gandhi’s true ideology.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia asserted that, first and foremost, Congress functions in an unconstitutional manner. Secondly, in its manifesto, Congress pledged reservations for minorities but limited these reservations in government contracts solely to representatives of the Muslim community. This raises a fundamental question—why were Sikh, Christian, Jain, Buddhist, and Parsi communities excluded? To this day, neither Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, nor Sonia Gandhi has provided an explanation. While Congress claims to support economically weaker Muslims, it has increased the contract limit from ₹1 crore to ₹2 crore. Applicants for these ₹2 crore contracts are required to submit earnest money worth several lakhs. The question arises—who are these ‘poor Muslims’ who can afford to deposit such large sums yet still need government contracts for their upliftment? This contradiction is evident on its own.

Shri Bhatia highlighted a critical issue regarding the 4% reservation for Muslims in government contracts, questioning whose rights would be compromised for this quota. This reservation will be given at the expense of backward communities, depriving OBCs of their rightful share. Congress and parties like AAP are anti-Dalit, anti-backward class, and anti-OBC. Diverting reservations meant for backward communities is a grave injustice.

National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia pointed out that Mamata Banerjee had traveled abroad and remarked that her mentor appeared to be Rahul Gandhi. The so-called Bharat Badnaam Karo (Defame India) brigade is consistently working to tarnish India's image on foreign soil. While the world acknowledges India's progress and holds the nation in high regard, this group spreads falsehoods to undermine these achievements. Mamata Banerjee recently spoke at Oxford University, where participants questioned her about India's economic growth. One of the questions highlighted India’s status as the fastest-growing economy, with global projections estimating that it would soon become the world's third-largest economy. Any constitutional officeholder, regardless of political affiliation, should take pride in India's achievements and promote them internationally. However, when asked about India's projected rise, Mamata Banerjee outrightly disagreed, stating, “I do not think so. I do not believe that India will soon become the third-largest economy in the world.” Further discussions at the event emphasized that India has been the fastest-growing economy among large global economies for the past six to seven years, surpassing nations like the US, UK, and Germany. In recent years, even China has fallen behind India in terms of growth. Experts projected that by 2060, India could become the world's largest economy. Yet, Mamata Banerjee dismissed these projections, expressing skepticism about India's ability to achieve this milestone, stating that she does not believe India will be able to accomplish this.

Shri Bhatia questioned Mamata Banerjee’s remarks, asserting that as responsible citizens and on behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party, it was essential to ask why a sitting Chief Minister who has sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution and elevate India's Pride —was instead working to undermine the nation's progress. The people of India firmly believe that the country is not just progressing but racing ahead on the path of development and will soon become the world's third-largest economy. However, Mamata Banerjee’s dislike for Shri Narendra Modi has turned into disdain for India itself. Instead of taking pride in the nation’s growth, the attempt is to ensure that anti-India narratives dominate global headlines. Rather than instilling confidence among foreign investors who see India as a promising investment destination, efforts are being made to erode that trust. What kind of mindset drives such actions? This is precisely why the label Bharat Badnaam Karo (Defame India) brigade fits, with Rahul Gandhi as its leader. Time and again, Rahul Gandhi has made statements on foreign soil that tarnish India's image—falsely claiming that Sikhs are not allowed to wear turbans and karas, alleging that democracy in India is under threat, and even appealing for global powers to interfere in India's internal affairs. Now, Mamata Banerjee follows the same pattern, echoing this anti-India rhetoric on an international platform.

National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia emphasized that participants at the event directly confronted Mamata Banerjee, holding her accountable for her actions. What was meant to be a discussion on women's empowerment instead shifted focus to the RG Kar Medical College incident, where a young woman was raped and murdered. Rather than ensuring justice, Mamata Banerjee was accused of suppressing the truth and siding with the perpetrator. The participants and media at the event exposed this reality, leaving her completely cornered. When the nation achieves glory, Mamata Banerjee finds it unbearable, but when disgrace befalls India, it arises from her actions. When a woman's dignity is violated in the very state where she serves as Chief Minister, its impact resonates internationally. Reports indicate that Mamata Banerjee was left humiliated and completely exposed, as it became evident how a Chief Minister stood in support of a rapist.
