Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP Leader Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Narela in New Delhi on Sunday. Shri Shah said that the condition of Delhi has gone from bad to worse in the 10 years of Arvind Kejriwal's rule. During these 10 years, Delhi has been struggling with problems like dirty water and waterlogging. Delhi is plagued by garbage, dilapidated gardens, poor schools and lack of facilities in hospitals. During the program, Lok Sabha MP Shri Yogendra Chandoliya and BJP Assembly candidate Shri Raj Karan Khatri among other leaders were present.

Shri Shah commenced his address by seeking the blessings of Shiv Shakti Hanuman Temple, Khatu Shyam Temple, Maa Sheetla Rani Temple, Kali Temple and Jain Temple and paid homage to freedom fighters Swami Omanand Saraswati, Sohan Dev, and Shri Krishna Nayar, who contributed to the country's independence from the land of Narela. The completion of 75 years of the Republic of India, the mother of democracy, is a moment of immense pride for all citizens, and as we enter the 76th year, it marks another significant chapter in our nation's journey. In these 75 years, the people of our country have worked tirelessly to take our democracy from its humble beginnings to even greater depths.

Union Home Minister remarked that it is the wonder of democracy that a poor Chaiwala  (tea seller's)  son, Hon'ble Shri Narendra Modi Ji, has been elected as the  Prime Minister of the country for the third time. It is the brilliance of our Constitution that a daughter of a poor tribal woman, Hoin’ble Smt. Droupadi Murmu now holds the position of President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Similarly, the son of a common Jat farmer now serves as the Vice President of India, while before him, the son of a poor Dalit, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, became the President of the country. This is a true testament to the power of our Constitution. Because of this, we are all hopeful that, in line with the Constitution, elections will be held on 5th February, and after the results are announced on 8th February, the people of Narela will cast their votes and Delhi will be freed from ‘AAP-da.’ The end of Kejriwal's misgovernance will come on February 8. Bakhtawar Pur, Alipur, Narela, Bankner, Holambi Kalan —these areas are all eagerly waiting for February 5th to arrive, so they can cast their votes and remove Arvind Kejriwal.

Shri Shah remarked that under Kejriwal's rule, Delhi has worsened over the last ten years. In contrast, many states across the country, where a double-engine government has been formed under Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's leadership, have seen remarkable progress. Meanwhile, in Delhi, the people have had to endure issues like contaminated water and flooding, uncollected garbage, deteriorating parks and gardens, schools on the brink of closure, and hospitals with a lack of essential facilities. The people of Narela, in agreement, stated that garbage is not collected on time in their wards, clean drinking water is unavailable, schools are in poor condition, and the Mohalla Clinics set up by AAP are not benefiting the public. AAP has not only caused disorder but also disrespected the people of Purvanchal, who have played a vital role in the nation’s development with their hard work and dedication across the country. Arvind Kejriwal has referred to them as “fake voters.”

Union Home Minister questioned Arvind Kejriwal, “Do the people who have come from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand not have the right to cast their votes?” During the COVID-19 crisis, Kejriwal told the people of Purvanchal to leave Delhi, claiming they pay ₹500 for a ticket and receive free treatment worth ₹5 lakh. Kejriwal’s government is coming to an end, and the BJP government is about to take charge. Once the BJP forms the government, treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh will be provided for free. AAP has deprived the people of Delhi of the benefits of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji's Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh to the poor across the country. Kejriwal has committed the injustice of keeping Delhi’s poor away from this scheme. While AAP promoted Mohalla Clinics, can major surgeries like cataract operations, appendectomy, or kidney transplants be done there? Across the country, people are receiving free treatment worth ₹5 lakh, but under Kejriwal's government in Delhi, the people are not getting this benefit. But the people of Delhi need not worry, as ‘AAP-da’ is about to exit, and the ‘Lotus’ is coming. AAP has caused harm to the people over the past years, but the BJP will make things right. Instead of ₹5 lakh, treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh will be provided free of charge. Kejriwal used to claim that he would purify the Yamuna and make arrangements for Chhath Ghats, but the Yamuna is still so polluted that people can't even take a dip in it. Kejriwal himself didn’t take a dip, which is why the Delhi BJP placed Kejriwal’s effigy in the Yamuna, and it seems even the cut-out has fallen ill. Kejriwal's government has failed to fulfill its promises and has only lied to garner votes.

Shri Shah stated that AAP stands for ‘Avaidh Aamdani Wali Party.’ They fought the elections in Punjab, Gujarat, and Goa using Delhi's funds. An audio clip leaked by the Congress party exposes AAP, and even Kejriwal and the local candidate haven’t denied it. The local candidate had told Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia not to implement the Excise Policy as it would increase the number of liquor shops in the area, but Sisodia responded by asking where the funds would come from to fight the elections in Punjab, Gujarat, and Goa. Kejriwal opened liquor shops near schools, temples, and gurudwaras, working to ruin the younger generation. He indulged in corruption, and in the end, both Sisodia and Kejriwal were jailed. After one year, the Supreme Court granted them bail, and now they claim to have been given a clean chit. Kejriwal must remember that bail is not the same as a clean chit; they still have to face trial.

Union Home Minister remarked that in the entire country, the ‘AAP-da’ government has been most heavily criticized by the High Court. They were slammed for issues like air pollution, cleaning the Yamuna, handling bars, managing COVID, power cuts, and wasting the public’s hard-earned money on advertisements. The court even ordered them to pay ₹97 crore. Kejriwal was part of the movement with Anna Hazare, but against Anna's will, he formed a political party. He initially claimed he would not take support from Congress, yet later formed his government with Congress' backing. He also claimed not to use government vehicles or security, but eventually took them. Additionally, he had promised not to occupy a government bungalow, but went on to build a ₹51 crore 'Sheesh Mahal' and demolished four bungalows to construct his massive residence. Kejriwal spent on various amenities, including ₹6 crore on marble, ₹4-6 crore on motorized curtains, ₹70 lakh on automatic doors, ₹64 lakh on 16 smart TVs, ₹50 lakh on carpets, ₹15 crore on a water system, and ₹10 lakh on recliner sofas. Kejriwal had promised to double the number of hospital beds, but that too remains unfulfilled. Kejriwal had also promised to provide clean and free tap water 24x7 and vowed to make Delhi pollution-free, but both promises remain unfulfilled. He promised to make Delhi garbage-free during the MCD elections, vowed to eliminate tanker mafias from Delhi, promised to establish a Sports University in Delhi, and also pledged to set up 47 fast-track courts in the city. However, all these promises remain unfulfilled. Not only have the promises been unfulfilled, but AAP has also been involved in numerous scams: a ₹28,400 crore Delhi Jal Board scam, a ₹5,400 crore ration card scam, a ₹4,500 crore DTC bus scam, a ₹1,300 crore classroom scam, and the list of scams worth thousands of crores goes on. The people of Narela must ensure Shri Raj Karan Khatri's victory on 5th February and remove ‘AAP-da’ from Delhi.

Shri Shah asserted that upon the formation of a BJP government in Delhi, the following initiatives will be implemented: ₹2,500 per month as financial assistance to every woman, ₹21,000 as financial aid along with 6 nutrition kits for every pregnant woman, and each woman will receive an LPG cylinder for ₹500. Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be implemented in the first cabinet meeting, offering a total of ₹10 lakh in free health coverage. In three years, the Yamuna River will be cleaned through the formation of a Yamuna riverfront. The pension for senior citizens will increase from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 per month, while pensions for widows and destitute women will rise from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000 per month. Additionally, Atal Canteens will be established in JJ clusters, providing nutritious meals for just ₹5. Auto and taxi drivers will be given ₹10 lakh life insurance and ₹5 lakh accident insurance. The BJP will also grant ownership rights to over 1,700 unauthorized colonies. There are 13,000 sealed shops in Delhi, and the BJP has initiated a meeting with lawyers to explore judicial options for reopening them. Markets owned by L&DO will be converted to freehold, and a phased implementation will be ensured. BJP will grant ownership rights to refugees from Pakistan.

Union Home Minister Shri Shah stated that upon the formation of a BJP government, Delhi will be free from Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators within two years.  Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji had promised to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and after 550 years, on January 22, 2024, Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi performed the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lala at his grand temple from his tent. He also freed the country from terrorism and Naxalism. When surgical strikes and airstrikes were conducted to avenge the attacks in Pulwama and Uri, Arvind Kejriwal raised questions about these actions. It has been 10 years under Modi Ji's governance, and terrorist attacks have been stopped. By 31st March 2026, the country will be completely freed from Naxalism. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has secured the country's borders and abolished triple talaq. He has also introduced the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), brought India's economy from 11th to 5th position, and within two years, it is set to become the third-largest economy.

Shri Shah remarked that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has introduced a new work culture in the country. Elections are now being decided not by caste, nepotism, or corruption, but by performance-based politics. Today, the entire nation is blessing PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and for the first time in 40 years, a leader has been elected as the Prime Minister for a third consecutive term. After Maharashtra and Haryana, it's now Delhi's turn. The BJP is committed to making Delhi the world’s best capital. Shri Shah urged the people to vote for the lotus symbol in the Delhi Assembly elections and ensure the victory of the BJP and its candidates.
