Condolence Message

New Delhi - August 30, 2008

I am deeply saddened by the demise of noted industrialist and philanthropist, Shri K K Birla. He had the caliber and vision to create opportunities in situations where others could not even think of it. He believed in creating wealth and also in utilizing it for fulfilling his social obligations.

His demise has left a big void in Indian industry. I send my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
