I heartily congratulate Shri Abhinav Bindra for winning the first Gold Medal for India at the Beijing Olympics. He has done India proud by this sterling achievement.

I join my countrymen in hoping that our sportspersons will bring several more medals, both in individual and team events, from Beijing.
