Press Statement issued by BJP National Vice-President New Delhi : August 5, 2008: The Bharatiya Janata Party will launch a nation-wide ‘JAIL BHARO’ agitation from August 11, 2008 in protest against shameful capitulation of the Central Government before separatist elements on revocation of land allotment to Amarnath Shrine Board. The BJP National Vice-president Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi observed that the Congress Party and the Central government by demeaning the faith and trust of crores of Indians is escalating anti-national mentality of handful separatists. Entire country is furious and agitated over this move. Shri Naqvi added that on one hand, the terrorism is uninterruptedly spreading its devilish hold on entire country, on the other hand the Congress-led Central government is nurturing evil designs of the forces who represent and lead separatism. More so, when the government is treating peaceful protesters who are opposing government’s decision of revoking land allotment to Amarnath Shrine Board, as terrorists, while separatist forces are being treated as friends. Shri Naqvi asserted that between August 11 and 13 the BJP will stage a powerful protest programme before RAJ BHAWANS in all state capitals through demonstrations meetings and arrests. This programme will run constantly for three days in all states and union territories. Shri Naqvi further added that party’s senior leaders will lead these demonstrations and arrests programmes in different states. All party M.Ps, legislators, public representatives, office-bearers and prominent karyakartas will participate in these arrest programmes. However, the Chief Ministers and ministers of BJP-NDA led states have been excluded from arrest programmes. (Shyam
